Leo, the cat who didn’t know how to meow
“I rescued Leo from a horrible hoarding situation where he had to live in a shed during winter. When I got him home, he was full of fleas and even lacked all basic cat skills that he should have been taught by his momma cat.”
“Leo would get aggressive when eating, and he simply could not meow. Teaching Leo how to do so was pretty funny. Can you imagine me running around the house meowing, trying to get Leo to copy me? After three months, it finally worked, so now Leo adorably squeaks his meow.”
“About a year after I adopted Leo, I found out that Leo isn’t a “him” when “he” went into heat. So, the people at the place I rescued him from were wrong, and so were two separate veterinarians. I now have a sassy – female – furball who squeaks and whom I love dearly!”

Furret, the spaghetti kitty
“Poor Furret used to be a stray. He had been abandoned during the holiday season in a bustling commercial area where he had rocks and even hot water thrown at him. Moreover, the kitty was bullied by the larger cats in the area, leaving him with a torn ear.”
“Luckily, a cat-loving girl noticed the vulnerable baby, who was braving all that abuse in the coldest time of year. She offered the cat some spaghetti and would from then on return daily with proper cat food, patiently earning the little feline’s trust.”
“Eventually, the kitty followed the girl home, where he was immediately adopted. Touched by the special bond between the girl and her new furry friend, the girl’s sister named the cat Furret, inspired by the Pokémon. Grateful and loved, the stray finally had a name and a forever home.”

Coco, the cat who was abandoned twice
“Coco was a neighbourhood cat that started visiting us a few years ago. One very cold winter, we noticed that she was out a lot more than usual at night. As she didn’t wear a collar, we decided to apply a paper collar with a message to her to find out if she had an owner. Soon, I received a call saying that Coco had been abandoned by her previous owner, and that the lady on the phone had taken her in.”
“A while later, Coco started to come round more often again. We had noticed a discharge from her ear and kept an eye on it. A few days later, the owner asked if we’d seen Coco. We told her we had, which put Coco’s owners’ mind at ease. She was happy as long as she knew where Coco was.”
“However, poor Coco’s ear got worse, so I phoned her owner and left a message. A little while later I received a text message from the lady, saying “Coco’s a stray. You can keep her”. Our daughter helped and saved Coco, who now lives here with us, loved & spoilt.”

Arie with the snowy tail
“We found Arie in November 2020. In the middle of the night, he sat crying outside in the freezing cold – his tail completely covered in snow. The poor thing was only around 6 months old.”
“While we already had three cats, we decided we had plenty of love left to give to Arie, so he became a delightful addition to our feline family. I’m so grateful we found him.”
“Arie is an incredibly cheeky, vocal, and intelligent cat who, at times, makes us playfully wonder if he might be an alien visitor from space. He constantly meows and always craves attention and food. When he senses it’s mealtime, he will cuddle up, especially when Catit Nibbly is involved.”

A Moving Winter Story
“Poor Winter, our adorable calico cat, was found crying at the door of a house in the dead of winter. As it was the only building for miles around, it was suspected that the poor kitty was dumped from a car.”
“The lovely inhabitants of the house took Winter in but were unable to keep her, so they contacted the local SPCA, who decided to run an advert to get the furry feline adopted. When I came across the ad, I took one look at Winter’s pic and knew right away that I had to go get her.”
“I went to pick up Winter and placed her in the car, but as soon as I started the engine, Winter became absolutely terrified. Jude, my cocker spaniel who was in the back seat, was very interested in the poor feline, so I allowed him to approach.”
“Jude was so gentle and loving towards Winter that the kitty promptly responded by placing herself underneath his chest, and that was how we travelled home. The two remained best buddies until 2 years ago, when Jude sadly passed away. Luckily, Winter bonded beautifully with Jorji, our new dog.”
